NEUROLOGICAL OPHTHALMOLOGY
Clinique de Montchoisi is an important centre for diagnostic and surgical ophthalmology (Drs Mermoud, Ravinet, Schnyder, de Smet and Herbort), and the centre particularly specialises in glaucoma.
The team is made up of orthoptists, opticians, technicians and specialised nursing staff with the most state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment (automated perimeter, Heidelberg Retinal Tomograph, OCT Spectral examinations, Laser flare photometry, fluorescein angiography and indocyanine green angiography) and up-to-date laser equipment (e.g. YAG, argon, SLT, diode). A coordinated medical-surgical approach allows for ocular pathologies to be treated with a particular interest being given to glaucoma, inflammations of the eye and the use of the toxin botulinium for blepharospasms.
