DR NICOLAS DE TRIBOLET'S CV
Nicolas de Tribolet, FMH [Swiss Medical Association certified] specialist in neurosurgery, underwent his medical training both in Switzerland and abroad, notably in Massachusetts General Hospital of the University of Harvard in Boston. Following this he has been, for several years, a University lecturer and head of service of neurosurgery at the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudois then at the hospitals associated with the University of Geneva and director of the department of neurosurgery of French-speaking Switzerland. He is now Honorary Professor at the Faculty of Medicine of Geneva and the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of Lausanne as well as the Burdenko Institute of neurosurgery in Moscow. He was educated in Switzerland, Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston and the University of California in San Francisco.
Nicolas de Tribolet is holder of the Bing prize from the Swiss Academy of Medical Sciences as well as the Olivecrona medal from the Karolinskaà Institute Stockholm and has received recognition for his work with more than 300 original articles and 30 chapters of books which focus mainly on the surgery of cerebral tumours and of aneurysms. He has been treasurer of the World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies and is currently editor-in-chief of the journal "Acta neurochirurgica". He is based at Clinique de Genolier where he carries out neurosurgical work within the GSMN group.
